Volks Dolpa 28

Ah, it's again Dolpa After Event time. The time when I love to go window shopping at Volks. I'd actually love to be able to get them, only that with my slow internet connection I do not have the slightest chance to win the click wars of the sumika items.

So, here's my favorite outfit this time: Black Baccara. I love it:


Very cute. I'm pretty sure that this outfit is going to be popular, so I don't think that there will be any rests available via the Volks website. But I like it enough as to keep an open eye for it whether I'll spot in on the marketplaces somewhere. I dream of getting a SDGr Girl some time and this will be her outfit <3.


This one is also kind of cute. It reminds me a little bit of those uniforms the carnival clubs here in Germany are wearing. And with the upcoming carnival season this would be a very cute uniform for my SD Kanata xD. Speaking of which, I'd actually wished Volks would one day really recreate some typical German carnival guardian costumes. Complete with tricornes, white curly wigs, military jacket, fluffy petticoat skirt and Hessian boots. Something like that:


But well, I'm afraid it won't be likely that they'll make something like that any time soon, so I'll have to try and recreate it for myself xD.

Also I think that I'm the first time in my life in love with a DD. It's Aoko Aozaki. She's just so unbelievably cute, I adore everything about her, wig, face sculpt, outfit, boots(!!!), really everything. *sigh*. I'm just a little bit scared of the vinyl body. I used to collect Pullips and Blythe before I switched to resin BJDs and it was a great relief to not have to worry about the typical vinyl staining problems with resin. But on the other hand, just look at her, isn't she cute? xD


Oh well, a girl can still dram, can't she?

Chibbi Newt Preorder

Since there is currently a preorder for the Chibi version of Newt, I thought I'd share a picture of my (original sized) Newt. I really like this kitty a lot, however, I think I do have to change something about her style. She might need another, more dramatic face-up I think. I don't have any clues though what exactly I'd love for her. Maybe for a change I should try myself at changing (or improving) her face-up. If everything fails, I can still send her away for a more professional face-up. And, of course, I also need the Chibi Version of her :D.

  So, let's start from the beginning. First we will need a new wig for Semi. While I really do love her colourful old one, it's really time for something new, something to go well with her new, more romantic look. At first I thought that maybe a short, bob style would be nice, but then I settled on a type of wig that would better accentuate her pear shaped body, by basically repeating that shape.  Yup, I think that's the new look we're going for.  EDIT: And we already found one to match the criteria. It's a little bit too large on her head, but otherwise it's the perfect length and volume. The ears should be able to keep it in place just fine.

So the reasons why there weren't any new posts in this blog in the last weeks was that I dedicated every free minute to the challenges in the DoA triathlon. Now that the triathlon is finally over and the winners were announced, I'll happily show you my creations and tell you a little bit about it, too. The doll I choose to be my model in this challenge was Naoumie, my Withdoll Emma. Her tan skin forms such a nice contrast to the transparent/white parts of her outfit. The idea with the goldfish bowl was literally the first idea I had. I knew that I had to make this on a low budget (I spent too much money on dolls lately and refused to buy more stuff), so I looked around for transparent plastic items that I could use and I came across those little plastic bowls. The one she's wearing as a head decoration /fascinator. I have three of them and I bought them a couple of years ago (I think they were filled with fruit pudding), just because I thought that they'd make n
