What a lovely day :)

So the reasons why there weren't any new posts in this blog in the last weeks was that I dedicated every free minute to the challenges in the DoA triathlon. Now that the triathlon is finally over and the winners were announced, I'll happily show you my creations and tell you a little bit about it, too. The doll I choose to be my model in this challenge was Naoumie, my Withdoll Emma. Her tan skin forms such a nice contrast to the transparent/white parts of her outfit. The idea with the goldfish bowl was literally the first idea I had. I knew that I had to make this on a low budget (I spent too much money on dolls lately and refused to buy more stuff), so I looked around for transparent plastic items that I could use and I came across those little plastic bowls. The one she's wearing as a head decoration /fascinator. I have three of them and I bought them a couple of years ago (I think they were filled with fruit pudding), just because I thought that they'd make n...

Working on some Kitty Jolie (aka Hybrid Body) outfits

Bild
I'm working on some outfits for my Kitty Jolie, right now. Since she is a romantic type of Kitty, she'll get some Mori style outfits - and once I'm happy with the design, I plan on making 2 more for sale in LDoll. Also I plan on making some jump suits for her and for MSD as well. They are all the rage here, so why not create some for the dolls as well. It will be a little challenge, given her hip/waist ratio, but it should work. PS: in this photo Melody wears a corset by Raouken and a skirt, hair band and basket by me. PPS: I tried to upload some photos of Melody to the flickr Cerisedolls group, but apparently it doesn't work? Is the group not active anymore? Does anyone know something?

Munich Dollmeet

Bild
Last Saturday I attended a doll meet in Munich. We weren't that lucky this time with the weather as it was literally pouring with rain most of the time, but luckily there were a few dry spots here and there. It was also a great opportunity to see a Grant Phillippe live, but now I'm not so sure anymore, if he really will be the perfect candidate for my Arjuna-Project? But then again, yes, he has that feminine touch about him that should definitively work.  Oh and did I mention that David had the chance to wear his new outfit? I'm happy that I was able to finish it in time. I actually made a new top and some undies for my RealFee girl in the evening before the meet.   Dollshe Grant Phillippe belongs to Roterwolkenvogel, Dollshe David Kuncci belongs to me, all photos taken by Isi/Hetdansendemeisje.

Oh my, I can't believe it :D

…but I actually scored third place in the DoA Couture Contest. I feel so happy currently. Thank you so much everyone <3 ! For those of you who aren't on DoA, here are the pictures I entered for the contest: And here are some more, though basically the same from the details pictures. Hopefully there will be enough sunshine this week so I will be able to do a new picture set of it. The day I took these it has been raining and I had to use a whole lot of lamps to illuminate her well enough to be able to take some decent pictures of her.

Contest entry for LDoll: Lady of Shalott

Bild
Oh, I just realized that I didn't blog anything about my contest entry for LDoll here. Okay, it's supposed to represent Lady Elaine of Ascalot (also known as Lady of Shalott). She's one of those tragic figures from the Arthur Legends. She's deeply in love with Sir Lancelot, but he isn't even aware of her love, so in the end she dies young because of her lovelornness. I've created this outfit not as a exact replica of the type of clothes that was worn at that time, but more as some sort of fantasy outfit, representing all of her symbols. She's often referred to as the pury-white or lily-white maiden, that's why I made the outfit completely white with gold. The collar is made to represent a lily flower. In her hands she holds the shield of Lancelot (which she has been secretly guarding according to some legends) and with her other hand she holds a mirror. According to some other legends (and thanks to the poem of Lord Tennyson) she's mostly kno...

New patterns for 1/4 dolls

Bild
In the meantime I'm also working on some new patterns (mainly shirts) for 1/4 sized dolls. I've finished this prototype today, it still needs some tweaking, but it's coming along. I'm also still working on a couple of commissions. By the way, commission status is currently closed as I have to much to work on right now. *stares at the top right menu* I need to update my threads soon. e__e

Partnerlook

Bild
Well, yes, exactly that ;) Doing the shrit was fairly easy, copying my jeans is going to be harder. Stay tuned ;).

Finished another panda hat today

Bild
Doesn't it look good together with the Glati outfit? xD

And another little dress

Bild
I had some leftovers from sewing Maitri's dress, so I've decided to make a dress for my Yo-SD as well. Oh well, another thing learned: never use raw silk for Yo dresses. It just doesn't work well.

New mohair wig

Bild
Have been a little bit bored today, so I decided to grab my Miho and try sewing another wig for him. I still had this piece of tibetan lamb skin and I love how the color of the mohair matches his eyebrows ^-^. The styling of these mohair wigs is always the hardest part though. Don't know if I will keep those long strands or not, if I keep them, I need to straighten them out. I adore the Miho sculpt. He's such a handsome looking ladd.
