Started working on the LDoll contest outfits

After a really long period of thinking about which character to choose, I've finally made up my mind. I'm going to enter the "Tales & Legends" contest, perhaps another one if time will permit it.  My schedule for Tales and Legends is fairly full though, I will be doing almost everything myself - except for the doll, her wig and her eyes. I will need to style the wig though.

So, here's the plan, that's what I got to do:

  • sew outfit
  • make shoes
  • make armor
  • do face-up
  • do body blushing
  • buy and style wig
I've started with the pattern of the outfit. It's almost completed. I already started sewing the dress. I hope it's going to turn out like expected ;).

Chibbi Newt Preorder

Since there is currently a preorder for the Chibi version of Newt, I thought I'd share a picture of my (original sized) Newt. I really like this kitty a lot, however, I think I do have to change something about her style. She might need another, more dramatic face-up I think. I don't have any clues though what exactly I'd love for her. Maybe for a change I should try myself at changing (or improving) her face-up. If everything fails, I can still send her away for a more professional face-up. And, of course, I also need the Chibi Version of her :D.

  So, let's start from the beginning. First we will need a new wig for Semi. While I really do love her colourful old one, it's really time for something new, something to go well with her new, more romantic look. At first I thought that maybe a short, bob style would be nice, but then I settled on a type of wig that would better accentuate her pear shaped body, by basically repeating that shape.  Yup, I think that's the new look we're going for.  EDIT: And we already found one to match the criteria. It's a little bit too large on her head, but otherwise it's the perfect length and volume. The ears should be able to keep it in place just fine.

So the reasons why there weren't any new posts in this blog in the last weeks was that I dedicated every free minute to the challenges in the DoA triathlon. Now that the triathlon is finally over and the winners were announced, I'll happily show you my creations and tell you a little bit about it, too. The doll I choose to be my model in this challenge was Naoumie, my Withdoll Emma. Her tan skin forms such a nice contrast to the transparent/white parts of her outfit. The idea with the goldfish bowl was literally the first idea I had. I knew that I had to make this on a low budget (I spent too much money on dolls lately and refused to buy more stuff), so I looked around for transparent plastic items that I could use and I came across those little plastic bowls. The one she's wearing as a head decoration /fascinator. I have three of them and I bought them a couple of years ago (I think they were filled with fruit pudding), just because I thought that they'd make n
