Sheepy by Dream Studio

I'm so proud of myself :). Why you ask? Simply, because I finally managed to paint and assemble the little toys I got as extra presents with my Dream Studio order. It wasn't that simple to finish them, as it was to complete the furniture. Partly because these parts are so small and partly because there was some extra work included here, like I had to carve the toothpicks a little smaller, since they were too large to enter through the holes in the wheels. But nevermind the extra work. Just look at little Sheepy, isn't he cute? He also has a sister, little Bunny, she's not in the photo though, but I'll soon take a picture of both of them together. >.<

And I'm also happy, because I managed to finish the entries 1 and 2 for the Den of Angels triathlon in time and I feel confident, that I should be able to finish the last contest as well.

    That little toy looks so pretty!! So glad you finished, can't wait to see a photoshoot with them in it.
    And congrats about finishing Doa entries! that must be so hard x.x... I never join haha

    I really love this little wooden sheep, so adorable, you've painted him so cute!

    Need to see the DOA thing, I usually don't follow but I'm always interested what my friends have done. :D Wonderful you got to finish two first ones, good luck with the third!

Chibbi Newt Preorder

Since there is currently a preorder for the Chibi version of Newt, I thought I'd share a picture of my (original sized) Newt. I really like this kitty a lot, however, I think I do have to change something about her style. She might need another, more dramatic face-up I think. I don't have any clues though what exactly I'd love for her. Maybe for a change I should try myself at changing (or improving) her face-up. If everything fails, I can still send her away for a more professional face-up. And, of course, I also need the Chibi Version of her :D.

  So, let's start from the beginning. First we will need a new wig for Semi. While I really do love her colourful old one, it's really time for something new, something to go well with her new, more romantic look. At first I thought that maybe a short, bob style would be nice, but then I settled on a type of wig that would better accentuate her pear shaped body, by basically repeating that shape.  Yup, I think that's the new look we're going for.  EDIT: And we already found one to match the criteria. It's a little bit too large on her head, but otherwise it's the perfect length and volume. The ears should be able to keep it in place just fine.

Resin comparison between DoDollsDream and DollFairyland

  I was asked to do a resin comparison between DoDollsDream nostalgic biscuit and Fairyland tan.  While the colors are very similar, they are not the same. Nostalgic biscuit is slightly more yellowish and pale compared to the Fairyland tan which seems to be darker and a little bit more reddish in tone. However, I'm sure that a hybridisation with a little bit of blushing to match colors would work.  I have also included in this picture a sample of then caramel forest tan color, which is way closer to the Fairyland tan. The caramel forest tan has only been released with the Petite Marionettes though and not with the Teacup Marionettes as far as I know.  And here they are with artificial light:
